Ready to treat your building's air system?

Disinfection that moves with the air.

After the returns are cleaned and the treated filters are in, DFX applies disinfectant to the new filters and sprays it through the air returns. The system is run so the disinfectant distributes through the airflow — treating the system itself, not just the filter.

When air system treatment makes sense

  • Following return cleaning and filter replacement — treatment completes the process
  • Facilities with a history of airborne contamination concerns
  • Healthcare, food service, or multi-family environments with elevated air hygiene needs
  • Post-event or post-construction scenarios where the system may have circulated debris
  • Facilities launching or refreshing a whole-environment disinfection program
  • Any environment where employees, patients, or occupants spend extended time

How we treat air system treatment

A targeted approach for lasting results.

1

Disinfectant applied to new filters

With the hospital-grade antimicrobial-treated replacement filters installed, DFX applies disinfectant directly to the filter media. This adds a disinfectant layer to what is already an antimicrobial-treated filter.

2

Disinfectant sprayed through air returns

DFX sprays disinfectant into the air returns and through the system housing. This treats the return pathway itself — not just the filter — so the disinfection extends into the system rather than stopping at the filter face.

3

System run to distribute

The HVAC system is run so the disinfectant distributes through the airflow. The result is a system that has been cleaned from the returns through the filters, treated with disinfectant at multiple points, and run to circulate that treatment — a whole-system approach, not a surface-only one.
